Summary
[edit]DescriptionKempton Waterworks, Lilleshall Engines Pumphouse - geograph.org.uk - 476784.jpg |
English: Kempton Waterworks, Lilleshall Engines Pumphouse This building was built to house the original five triple expansion steam engines built by the Lilleshall company. These have been replaced by electric pumps which are still housed in the building. The red brick building to the right is part of the new engine house built in the late 1920s to house the later, enormous, Worthington Simpson engines, now preserved, and of which one can be steamed. |
