| Description |
English: Memorial to the victims of the Katyń massacre in the 3rd district of Budapest (Óbuda). The cube-shaped memorial made of rusted iron inclined contains a block of black granite. The pattern of openwork iron imitates a forest recalling the location of the massacre. In the evening it is lit from within. The authors are Mr. Géza Varga-Szeri sculptor and Mr. Zoltán Varga-Szeri architect. Its inauguration took place on 8th April 2011.
Français : Mémorial aux victimes du massacre de Katyń dans le „Parc des Martyrs de Katyń” à Óbuda. Le monument en forme de cube incliné, fait de fer rouillé renferme un bloc de granit noir. Le motif de fer ajouré imite un forêt rappelant l'endroit du massacre. Le soir il est éclairé de l'intérieur. Les auteurs sont MM. Géza Széri-Varga sculpteur et Zoltán Széri-Varga architect. Son inauguration eut lieu le 8 avril 2011.
Magyar: A Katinyi vérengzés áldozatainak emlékműve az óbudai Katinyi Mártírok Emlékparkjában. Az egy fekete gránitkockát magába záró, belülről megvilágított, megbillent rozsdás vas kubus emlékmű alkotói Széri-Varga Géza szobrászművész és Széri-Varga Zoltán építész. Felületének rajzolata erdőt imitál, mely a mészárlás helyszínére emlékeztet. Felavatására 2011. április 8-án került sor. |
