Summary
[edit]DescriptionKarst-lake Argon-Pedion Arcadia Peloponnese.jpg |
English: “Argon Pedion”, temporary lake in a closed karst basin, “Nestani-Sagka-Polje” (length:ca. 4 km, separate part of the ca. 30 km long Tripoli-Karst-Basin in the Arcadian highland, Peloponnese). This part of the polje is mainly grassland for herding sheep and goats. Soil, weathered rock material and a richer vegetation of the mountains have been washed down into the basin, degraded shrubs on a thin surface layer are what is left. |
