Summary

Description
Eesti: Karpvähiline (Ostracoda) pildistatud mikroskoobi all kasutades 10x objektiivi. Isend on kogutud Rakvere linnatiigist 2024. aasta mais. Pildil on hästi näha, kuidas karpvähilise karp on vasakult poolelt kergelt avatud ning sealt ulatub välja looma jäse. Vasakul asuv veemull lisab pildile kunstilist dimensiooni, eriti huvitav on näha, kuidas karpvähiline sellelt peegeldub. Pilt on tehtud kasutades peegelduvat valgust, mis toob eriti hästi esile karbi pinna tekstuuri ja sisemised struktuurid. Pilt on tehtud kasutades fookuse virnastamise tehnikat (focus stacking), mis tagab suure teravussügavuse.
English: An ostracod photographed under a microscope using a 10x objective. The specimen was collected from a pond in Rakvere, Estonia, in May 2024. The image clearly shows the ostracod's shell partially open on the left side with an appendage protruding. A water bubble on the left adds an artistic dimension to the image, with an interesting reflection of the ostracod visible in it. The image was captured using reflected light, which particularly emphasizes the surface texture of the shell and internal structures. The image was created using focus stacking technique, which ensures great depth of field throughout the subject.
