Description
English: Karen Silkwood was an active member of OCAW, the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Worker's International Union and a whistleblower reporting unsafe conditions in her workplace, an Oklahoma plutonium plant owned by Kerr-Mcgee. She was killed in an unsolved car accident while driving to meet with a reporter about plutonium contamination at Kerr-Mcgee, and is suspected by many to have been murdered.

Mike Alewitz painted this mural dedicated to Karen Silkwood as part of a five-part series on the history of OCAW.
