Description
Deutsch: Das Kaprun Moor, auch „Filzmoos“ genannt, gliedert sich in drei Teile: den Moorwald im Osten, das - sekundär aus Streuwiesen entstandene – Hochmoor in der Mitte und die Streuwiesen im Westen. Es ist der Rest eines einst viel größeren Moores. Das Moor wird heute im Norden von der Salzach, im Südosten von einem Kanal, und sonst von feuchten Fettwiesen eingefasst und ist von mehreren tiefen Kanälen und von Nebenkanälen durchzogen. Menschliche Eingriffe und Flächenbewirtschaftung haben das ursprüngliche Pflanzenkleid dieses Moorrestes stark verändert.
English: The Kaprun Moor, also called "Filzmoos", is divided into three parts: the bog forest in the East, the raised bog in the middle (secondary resulting from litter meadows) and the wet meadows in the west. The Kaprun Moor is the remnant of a once much larger Moor. The Moor is today enclosed in the north of the Salzach, in the southeast of a channel and otherwise by moist fertilized meadows and is crossed by several deep channels and side channels. Human intervention and land management have changed considerably the original plant cover of the Kaprun Moor.
