Description
English: The base map is a portion of a map created by West & Johnson and published in Richmond in 1862. It was downloaded from the US Library of Congress, and modified by TwoScarsUp by adding labels and circles for points of interest involving the Kanawha Campaign that occurred during the American Civil War during the first half of September 1862

Much of this campaign took place in the southwestern portion of what is know West Virginia, especially along the Kanawha River.
