Some new Kan'ei tsuuhou issues have mintmarks on them and many of these are common. Below are some examples of mostly common varieties. Old Kan'ei do not have mintmarks but in rare cases they have numbers and "stars" (dots really) cast on the reverse side of the coin. Below are some common examples of reverse side mintmarks. Bun Kamedo, shouji mon (1668)
