English: A Post-Medieval gold posy ring with plain exterior, squashed, slightly rounded in section. The ring is inscribed on the inner band:

+ TOVT IOVRS LOIALL (French inscription, meaning 'ever faithful')

Date: 16th - 17th century

Dimensions:

Diameter: (max) 22.57mm

Band Width: 3.37mm

Band Thickness: 0.93mm

Weight: 2.7g

Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
