Description
Deutsch: Ausgrabungen der Kantonsarchäologie Aargau

Objekt: Tote römische Wasserleitung von Vindonissa

Ort: Hausen, Stückstrasse 15 und 17

Datierung: 1. Jh. n. Chr.

Aufnahmedatum: Mai / Juni 1968

Anlass der Grabung: Beim Neubau zweier Mehrfamilienhäuser südlich des Dorfzentrums von Hausen wurde im Frühsommer 1968 die tote römische Wasserleitung von Vindonissa angeschnitten. Die Leitung war auf einer Länge von 35 m in der Baugrube freigelegt und bereits weitgehend durch Baumaschinen zerstört worden. Details:

Terrazzomörtel auf Sohle und Wangen, Viertelrundstab am Übergang von Sohle zu Kanalwange und vollständige Verfüllung des Kanalquerschnitts mit Lehm, weitgehend noch intakten Deckplatten aus Kalkstein (Brauner Jura, d.h. Dogger)
