English: NASA's K10 robot "Red" undergoes testing at Haughton Crater, on Devon Island, northern Canada. Developed by Ames Research Center's Intelligent Robotics Group, K10's can be used for highly repetitive and long-duration tasks, such as site mapping and science reconnaissance. This unit is equipped with LIDAR, which can be used to make 3D scans of surrounding terrain. |
