Summary
[edit]DescriptionJustice Annex Building Ottawa Canada.jpg |
English: The Justice Annex Building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. A three-storey wood frame structure with a shallow hipped roof, it is the last surviving representative example of many similar temporary buildings erected in Ottawa during the Second World War designed in haste to meet the government's wartime accommodation needs. This building was built to house Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers associated with the war effort. It later became the headquarters of C.D. Howe's Department of Munitions and Supply. After the war it was given to the Justice Department and named the Justice Annex. |
