Periodicity of the phase between two notes in a musical interval can be ascertained by time shifting one note.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Triangle waves are used ascertain how long the maxima of two pure sine waves coincide for a detuned just musical interval, in the approximation that the detuning is sufficiently small that phase cycles can be modeled by imagining that they are equivalent to introducing a time delay.
