Deutsch: Die gelbe Linie zeigt den Umriss einer idealen Kugel (Radius r≈69.911km), deren Rauminhalt dem des Sphäroids des Jupiters entspricht. Für die Berechnungen wurde der Jupiter vereinfacht als Ellipsoid mit folgenden Maßen (Mittelwerte) betrachtet: a=b=71.492km, c=66,854km. Die Abplattung des Jupiters errechnet sich zu ~0,064, das Volumen beträgt ~1.43128×10^15 km³.
Aufgenommen vom Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI) der New Horizons Mission, 2 x 2 Fotomosaic zusammengefügt von der Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
