Português: Junta Governativa Militar da Revolta da Madeira Da esquerda para a direita: tenente Carlos de Jesus Vilhena; tenente Manuel Ferreira Camões; alferes Hasse Ferreira; coronel Fernando Augusto Freiria; general Adalberto Gastão de Sousa Dias; major Carlos Bragança Parreira; coronel de Infantaria José Mendes dos Reis; major Filipe de Sousa; capitão Augusto Casimiro e coronel José da Costa. O pronunciamento da Revolta da Madeira iniciou-se pelas 07h00 de 4 de abril de 1931, numa operação chefiada pelo tenente médico Manuel Ferreira Camões (1898-1963), que envolveu forças de Caçadores 5, Metralhadoras 1, Infantaria 13 e Artilharia 3, que toma o Palácio de São Lourenço, onde são aprisionados os coronéis Silva Leal (Alto Comissário do Governo) e José Maria de Freitas (Governador Militar). O Governador Civil de então, o capitão Almeida Cabaço, é também detido. Nesse mesmo dia, foi constituída uma Junta Governativa da Madeira, presidida pelo general Sousa Dias (1865-1934) e composta pelos oficiais Armando Hasse Ferreira, Augusto Casimiro, Carlos Bragança Parreira, Carlos Vilhena, Fernando Freiria, Filipe de Sousa, José Mendes dos Reis, Manuel Ferreira Camões e Sebastião Costa, que declara só depor armas assim que o Governo de Lisboa assegure o retorno ao sistema constitucional e o fim da censura. |
