| Description |
c/n 22-103 Built 1943 in Spain, using fuselages supplied from Germany. Fuselage given the Junkers c/n 24 as one of the 30 supplied to Spain. Saw Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force) service as T.2-212 and later T.2B-212. Rebuilt using CASA 352 wings following storm damage at some point during military service. Sold to Warbirds of Great Britain in 1976 and registered as G-BECL. Based at Blackbushe from 1976, stored there from 1981 to 1985 and then moved to Coventry until being sold to L’Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis (AJBS) in 1990 and arriving at La-Ferté-Alais in June that year. Restored between 1995 and 2003 and now flies in a basic Luftwaffe scheme as ‘AZ-JU’. Seen taking off to display at the 2019 Fête Aérienne Le Temps Des helices (Aerial Festival – The Time of the Propellers). Aérodrome de Cerny-La-Ferté-Alais, Cerny, France 9th June 2019 |
