Description
Deutsch: Zeichnung eines architektonischen Entwurfs für die geplante Schule am Meer auf der Nordseeinsel Juist (Ostfriesland) aus dem Jahr 1924. Die anthroposophisch inspirierte Schulanlage passt sich scheinbar organisch in die natürlich geformte Umgebung an der Augustendüne im Westteil der Insel ein. Der Plan erinnert wegen der langen Gänge, welche die einzelnen Gebäude bzw. Gebäude-Komplexe verbinden, an eine mittelalterliche Klosteranlage. Dadurch ergibt sich der subjektive Eindruck einer Wehrhaftigkeit. Rechts hinter der Schulanlage erkennt man einzelne Häuser, die für Lehr- und Hilfskräfte vorgesehen waren. Dort sollten auch Wirtschaftshöfe entstehen, um einen gewissen Grad der Selbstversorgung zu ermöglichen.

Source Martin Luserke family heritage. He was the school's founder and headmaster/principal. The uploader got the file for publication in a Wikipedia article about the school by Mrs. Erika Luserke of Cologne, Germany. The drawing of 1924 was a paid contract work for the former school Schule am Meer on the island of Juist in Germany which was closed in 1934. With his payment the illustrator got no rights left. The file was published several times during the schools existence and since for alumni meetings, multimedia presentations, historical research, historical exhibitions etc. It is part of the documentation of Kustenmuseum Juist and was published by Jochen Büsing: Im Loog… Die wechselvolle Geschichte des anderen Juister Ortsteils. Burchana, Borkum 2010, ohne ISBN, S. 63.
