Summary
[edit]DescriptionJoseph Gomez.jpg |
English: Joseph Gomez (Jessy boy) from 14 November, 1924 to 2013, August 01.
He joined HMS through the Indian Recruits for Royal Indian Navy from the south most city of Indian sub-continent, Trivandrum on his 18th year directly from the school. He served RIN during the World War II period. He had sailed around the world boarded on HMIS CAUVERY, Pennant Number U 10, one of the Black Swan-class sloops mainly focused against Japanese submarines for England in WWII. He was not so talkative but used to narrate his action packed stories of attack and defence so proudly. He was a very well trained soldier and was a brave heart. He is survived by his wife and 5 children. All of them settled in India. We are all proud of him for serving Royal Indian Navy. |
