Description
English: Jonas J. Christensen, another Stakman protege, (MS, 1922; PhD, 1925) became a beloved teaching stalwart. His farm background and earthy speech pattern belied a powerful intellect. A whole plant physiologist who succeeded Stakman as Head of Plant Pathology and Physiology in 1953. He served as President of the American Phytopathological Society and is honored on the Scholar's Walk on the Minneapolis Campus.
