English: John Crosbie, a former provincial and federal politician from Newfoundland and the current Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, at an event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Navy and the 400th anniversary of the settlement of Cupids, Newfoundland and Labrador (the oldest continuously settled official British colony in Canada and possibly the oldest in North America (debatable with Hampton, Virginia)).
