Español: Sorolla pinta desde el llano segoviano (Segovia, España) las alturas del pico de Peñalara, el más alto de la Sierra de Guadarrama, cernidas por el cobalto del aguacero. La enfermedad de su hija primogénita, los estudios, bocetos y cartones preparativos de su magna obra para la Hispanic Society of America y la circunstancia de tener casa de verano en el pueblo serrano de Cercedilla (Madrid), explican la repetida presencia del Guadarrama en muchas de sus obras.
