Description
Français : Figure 2 de la thèse de Jean Perrin. Schéma d'un tube de Crookes construit spécialement pour démontrer que les rayons cathodiques sont des corpuscules de matière chargés négativement. Le tube contient un récepteur cylindrique ABCD, relié à un électromètre extérieur. Le récepteur est lui-même placé dans un cylindre EFGH servant de cage de Faraday et d'anode. N est la cathode.
English: Figure 2 of the PhD thesis of Jean Baptiste Perrin. A Crookes tube specially constructed for demonstrating that cathode rays are negatively charged material corpuscules. The tube contains a cylindrical receptor ABCD, wired to an external electrometer and placed inside a larger cylinder EFGH used as Faraday shield and anode. N is the cathode.
