Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Jean's Hole Just off the road up on Fannyside Muir this small pond is known by older inhabitants of the district as the photo title name. A 6ins O.S. map featured on the National Library of Scotland website shows an ironstone pit diagonally across the road from the pond and this may indicate that it was originally a settling pond associated with the pit.
