| Description | 三つ石（みついし）は、日本の家紋「石畳紋」の一種である。石畳紋は、造園や建築の石畳のように、同じ方向で同じ大きさの四角形を3つ組み合わせた家紋で、その連続文様については「霰（あられ）」、「市松文様（いちまつもんよう）」とも呼ばれる。石畳紋の文献上の初見には、11世紀中ごろに薬師寺氏が「五つ石」を使用したという記録がある（『吾妻鑑』）。「三つ石」は、桓武平氏良文流の土屋氏、信濃小笠原氏の家臣らが用いている。 |
