| Description |
August 2012 is the 50th anniversary of Jamaica gaining it's Independence from the UK. And to celebrate, Birmingham are holding Jamaica in the Square, in Victoria Square and Chamberlain Square. In Chamberlain Square there was a stage, with a Jamaican woman talking about something. Banners near Congreve Passage and Edmund Street. No alcohol beyond this point. A car with a Jamaican flag on it, behind the London 2012 and Jamaica in the Square banners. To be fair I was here for the Floral Trail and not for this event. I missed one of the wicker sculptures near the Town Hall (didn't expect to find all of them). And after this was heading to Centenary Square. |
