Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Gunung Sindoro disebut juga dengan Gunung Sindara atau Sundoro atau Sendoro. Gunung Sindoro termasuk dalam kategori gunung stratovolcano alias gunung tidur dan sewaktu-waktu bisa erupsi. Erupsi terakhir adalah pada 1906 dan semenjak itu hanya terjadi peningkatan aktivitas saja. Gunung Sindoro termasuk dalam gunung yang sensitif terhadap kondisi alam. Tidak jarang gunung ini ditutup untuk pendakian akibat cuaca tidak bersahabat. Selain rentan terhadap cuaca, gunung Sindoro juga termasuk gunung yang dikeramatkan layaknya gunung Lawu. Masyarakat kaki gunung tidak jarang pula menutup pendakian menuju puncak karena faktor tertentu berkaitan dengan tradisi khususnya jika tanggal 1 Syuro. Gunung Sindoro terletak di terletak di kabupaten Wonosobo (Barat) dan kabupaten Temanggung (Timur). Seperti layaknya gunung Merapi-Merbabu, gunung Sindoro juga memiliki saudara yakni Gunung Sumbing. Ada hal unik pada dua gunung kembar ini yakni sebuah pemandangan yang melegenda
