| Description |
Svenska: Jakobsbergs Centrum, 2024, Järfälla kommun, posthuset. Posthuset byggdes 1970 och fyllde 50 år 2020. Arkitekt till Posthuset i Jakobsberg Centrum är Nils Rasing (1910-1976). Huset ägs och förvaltas av Järfällahus AB. Huset med sina 14 våningar och 55 meters höjd är ett av Järfällas mest kända landmärken. Det hade ursprungen tre funktioner: affärshus med Posten i bottenvåningen och restaurang på plan 1, kontorshus med lokaler för kommunen och bostadshus med smålägenheter på de översta våningarna. Bostäderna var redan från början anpassade för att kunna byggas om till kontor, och det skedde också efter bara några år. I huset fanns också en utställningshall under några år. Dessutom låg tingsrätten högst upp i Posthuset under åren 1977 - 1992. Tingrätten flyttade sedan till det blå parkeringshuset, och nu finns den i Sollentuna. Idag finns ett flertal kommunala förvaltningar liksom kommunens servicecenter i huset. I källaren finns ett stort skyddsrum där kommunarkivet är inrymt. Det utanpåliggande trapphuset byggdes 2008. |
