| Description |
English: Jaguar 3.8S. In England, where the car is registered, license plates normally follow cars, and the first issued license plate will more often than not stay with the car for life. In this case, however, a 1971 license plate appears on a car that by that year had been out of production for several years. However, the UK tax office database shows the car's year of manufacture as 1965, possbly based on a "declaration" to that effect by the person reregisering it. That is believable. The car must have been reregistered at some point, possibly because initially it was exported outside Britain |
