Description
Русский: Это картина немецкого художника Якоба Филиппа Гаккерта «Сражение у города Патрас». Картина написана специально для Чесменского зала Большого Петергофского дворца в 1778 году. На картине описаны события морского сражения при Патрасе 9 ноября 1772 года. В центре картины - 5 кораблей русской эскадры с раздутыми парусами, справа - линейный корабль «граф Орлов». На дальнем плане за русскими судами зарево пожара - горящий флот Мустафы паши. У левого края картины несколько мелких турецких судов, устремившихся в Коринфский залив, к ним подплывают русские шлюпки. Картина украшает Чесменский зал Большого Петергофского дворца
