One of 14 tinted lithographs by Brevet Major J R Turnbull, 13th Light Infantry, from 'Sketches of Delhi taken during the Siege', published by T McLean, 1858.

A view from one of the batteries established by the British to bombard the defences of Delhi in September 1857.

During the Siege of Delhi in 1857 the suburb of Subzee Mundee saw heavy fighting as rebels attacked the British forces stationed around Hindoo Rao's House.
