Description
The Hvidbjørnen was built for Den Kongelige Grønlandske Handel (Royal Greenland) by Helsingør Træskibsværft and delivered in November 1887. She was rigged as a barque and also had a 250 hp steam engine. The ship was caught in the ice off Greenland, near Itivedliatsuak in April 1895 and wrecked. Source: jmarcussen.dk (in Danish).
