Published by Koshei kei in 1853-1856. Included in this collection are 3 duplicates.The view over Takashi Beach and Osaka Bay shows one of the many temples and shrines along the coast of Takashi. Since the Heian period (794-1192), pilgrims have traveled past these shrines that overlook the island of Awaji in the background of the print. Hiroshige was famous for his use of a shading technique known as bokashi, as seen at the top of the print and in the darkness of the ocean. "
