Deutsch: Vorderseite: Helm mit Wangenklappen auf Tisch. Beiderseits je ein Palmzweig.

Rückseite: HPΩΔOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ. Dreifuss. Im l. F. L Γ (Jahr drei), im r. F. TP (ligiert).

Kommentar: Zwar datiert diese Münze aus dem dritten Regierungsjahr des Königs Herodes, doch ist umstritten, ob diese in das Jahr drei des Königs (also 38/37 v. Chr.) oder aber das entsprechende als Tetrarch (40/39 v. Chr.) gehören. Letzteren Titel erhielt Herodes 40 v. Chr. von M. Antonius verliehen und die Abkürzung TP auf der Münzrückseite wird von einigen Forschern als Hinweis darauf verstanden. Da Herodes Jerusalem erst in seinem vierten Regierungsjahr eroberte, können diese Münzen nicht in Jerusalem hergestellt worden sein, es wird eine Münzstätte in Samaria vermutet.
