Description

Am 10. März 2014 wurde durch eine vermutete Gasexplosion das Mehrfamilienhaus Schützenstraße 3 vollständig zerstört und brach bis auf den Erdboden zusammen. Es waren vier tote Menschen zu beklagen.

Die Trümmer des Hauses wurden über mehrere Querstraßen geschleudert und beschädigten dortige Gebäude.

Nach dem Unglück wurden die Gasleitungen für Messungen aufgegraben.

Die Auguste-Viktoria-Schule in direkter Nachbarschaft setzte ihre Flagge auf halbmast.
