English: iss069e086005 (Sept. 6, 2023) --- JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut and Expedition 69 Flight Engineer Satoshi Furukawa replaces components on the BioFabrication Facility (BFF). The 3D biological printer, located in the International Space Station's Columbus laboratory module, is testing printing organ-like tissues in microgravity with an eye to manufacturing whole human organs in space in the future.
