Islands in Loch Monar

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Islands in Loch Monar A view of two small islands that stick out above the raised Loch Monar. This was taken from a spur at the foot of Meall Innis an Loichel, in Inverness-shire, but the islands were small hills on the other side of the Garbh-uisge, in Ross and Cromarty. Beneath the loch is a deep gorge. Trees are growing on the larger island, but although protected from the deer, it is still subject to some fierce winds, so they will probably remain stunted.
