فارسی: مسجد جامع عتیق (مسجد جمعه) دربرگیرنده گنجینه معماری دورانهای مختلف تاریخی ایران از دیلمیان تا صفویان است و جلوههايي از هنر دورههاي مختلف تاريخي را در 67 كتيبه تاريخي زيباي آن مي توان ديد. كاشيهاي رنگارنگ، ستونهاي متعدد، مقرنسهاي چشم نواز، گنبدهاي با شكوه، گلدستههاي بلند، شبستان هاي بزرگ و سنگابهاي ظريف از ديگر چشم اندازهاي زيباي مسجد عتيق اصفهان است. از شاهكارهاي معماري در مسجد جامع عتيق مي توان دو گنبد مشهور « نظام الملک » و «تاج الملک» ، محراب اولجايتو (اثر استاد حيدر اصفهاني)، صفه صاحب، ايوان استاد، ايوان شاگرد، صفه درويش و شبستان زمستاني را برشمرد. پرفسور آرتور اپهام پوپ، ايرانشناس نامدار آمريكايي درباره مسجد جامع عتیق اين شاهكار تاريخي اصفهان نوشته است: اين بنا با عظمت خاموش، جدي و اسرارآميزش يكي از زيباترين آثار معماري جهان است.
English: Jame Atigh Mosque (Masjid Jome) constitutes an architectural treasury of various Iranian historical eras from Deilamian to Safavi depicting art from different times in 67 glamorous inscriptions. Colorful tiles, various pillars, beautiful arches, magnificent domes, high minarets, great courts, and delicate stone troughs add to the elegance of Atigh Mosque. Other architectural masterpieces in this mosque include two famous Nezam Ol Molk and Taj Ol Molk domes, Oljayto Sanctuary (by the great expert Heydar Esfahani), Saheb portico, Darvish portico, Ostad porch, Shagerd porch, and a special Sanctuary for prayers during the winter time. Professor Arthur Opham Pop, the famous American historian specializing in Iran has described Atigh Grand Mosque of Esfahan as: "This masterpiece with its silent, earnest and mysterious splendor is one world's greatest architectural monuments."
