Description
English: The First Lady of Israel, Michal Herzog, visiting the Presidential Library of Turkey accompanied by the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan. During her visit, Mrs. Herzog gifted a number of Hebrew books for the Presidential Library's Hebrew-language collection, including works of poetry and prose by prominent writers in Israeli literature, among them S. Y. Agnon, Leah Goldberg, and David Grossman. The First Lady also presented the library a copy of the Hebrew Bible and a Hebrew translation of the Quran. The First Lady of Turkey gave First Lady Michal Herzog a book of Turkish poetry in Hebrew translation. Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
עברית: רעיית נשיא המדינה מיכל, בביקור בספריית הארמון הנשיאותי (אנ') בליווי רעיית נשיא טורקיה (אנ'), אמינא ארדואן (אנ'). במהלך הביקור העניקה רעיית נשיא המדינה ספרים בעברית למדף הספרים בעברית לספרייה הלאומית של טורקיה (אנ'), ביניהם ספרי שירה ופרוזה של סופרים ומשוררים בולטים בספרות ובשירה הישראלית: ש״י עגנון, לאה גולדברג, דויד גרוסמן ועוד. בנוסף, העניקה רעיית הנשיא לספרייה ספר תנ״ך וספר קוראן מתורגם לעברית. רעיית נשיא טורקיה העניקה לרעיית נשיא המדינה ספר שירים טורקי שתורגם לעברית. יום רביעי, ו׳ באדר ב׳ תשפ"ב, 9 במרץ 2022.
