Summary
[edit]DescriptionIs the path open^ - geograph.org.uk - 595841.jpg |
English: Is the path open? The sign on the gate says "No entry foot and mouth disease precautions". But there were no official path closures in this area as a result of foot and mouth.
The sign below says "dogwalkers, we have had recent instances of sheep worrying and the consequences can be very distressing. Please ensure that your dog is on a lead at all times". I can sympathise with the intent in both cases, but these do appear to be opportunistic signs by the farmer. The footpath, enclosed by a fence, was open. |
