Title |
Iron Age currency: Possible ring money |
||
Description |
English: A copper alloy penannular ring, possibly ring money and dating to the Iron Age (second century BC). The ring has a sub-oval cross section and is undecorated. The terminals are rounded and do not touch each other giving this ring its distinctive penannular shape. The ring is smooth and well worn, suggesting it has been well-handled. |
