| Description |
The castle in Inverness, Scotland was built in 1836 on the site of a much older castle and sits with a commanding view over the River Ness. Access to the building is limited to one part only as the castle is used as the local courthouse - arguably the most impressive court building in Scotland. However a new court building is being built elsewhere in the town and there are plans to convert the castle into a major tourist centre. I worked as an administrator in the castle for 18 months and know it in detail. Inverness, described as the Capital of the Highlands attracts many visitors every year and is only a few miles from the famous Loch Ness and the battlefield of Culloden is nearby. |
