Summary
[edit]DescriptionInterior of All Saints Harlow Hill 036.jpg |
Interior of Church of All Saints, Otley Road, Harlow Hill, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is the cemetery chapel in Harlow Hill Cemetery, and was designed in 1870 by architects Isaac Thomas Shutt and Alfred Hill Thompson. View from third ladder inside tower, of underside of bell chamber floor. This is a 20th century floor, put in after the carrillon of 8 tubular bells were winched up the tower to replace the original 19th century bell or bells. You can see the wires leading to the levers below, where the tubular bells are controlled and played. Note: This is a poor-quality photograph but it is informative and likely to be irreplaceable, since there is no public access inside the tower, and this area is dark. |
