Summary

[edit]
Description Inside the traditional Masai village. the cluster of twigs you see on the left is actually an impregnable shelter for cows at night, to protect them from lion attacks. There are similar ones for sheep/ goats and poultry, with a similar fence running all round the village itself. In addition, there are dogs running loose at night, to warn residents and lions of each others' presence. (Oct/ Nov 2010)
