In unmittelbarer Nähe In unmittelbarer Nähe des Münsters »St. Maria und Markus« befindet sich das Schloss Königsegg. Im Spät-Mittelalter befand sich an dieser Stelle der Ministerialiensitz (im Dienst stehende Beamte) der Abtei. Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde das Schloss durch das Augustinerchor-Herrenstift des Klosters Beuron erworben und komplett umgebaut. Bis 1802 zur Säkularisierung (Trennung von Kirche und Staat) blieb es im Besitz des Ordens. Danach wechselten häufig die Besitzer, bis es 1983 von der Gemeinde Reichenau erworben wurde. Seit 1995 ist dort eine Schule für Logopädie und Physiotherapie untergebracht. Es dient auch als Kulisse für diverse Festivalitäten. - Blick auf den Rundturm im Innenhof |
