English: The Indonesian Embassy hosted Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the Indonesian Ambassador Residence on 15 June 2019. The event was graced by the presence of Her Royal Highness Princesss Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.
Her Royal Highness Princesss Hajah Masna and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz were welcomed by the Ambassador, Dr. Sujatmiko, and his wife, Nany. “We are honored to receive Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna in our Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house and would like to say thank you for all Bruneian high officials and foreign dignitaries attending the event. I hope this event will further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam". Said Ambassador Sujatmiko. Her Royal Highness had light conversations with the Ambassador and invited guests before concluding the visit with photo session. Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from the Government of Brunei Darussalam were also present among around three hundred guests attending the events. All were charmed by various Indonesian cuisine served such as rawon, lontong cap gomeh, bakso sapi and assorted traditional cakes. Among cuisines served in this Open House was Rawon, beef soup originated from East Java, Indonesia. The dish is characterized by its distinct dark color and strong nutty flavor due to the use of keluak (black nuts) as main seasoning. Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house is annual event held by the Indonesian Embassy to celebrate Aidilfitri and foster good relations. The Embassy will also hold another Raya open house for Indonesian citizens residing in Brunei Darussalam on 16 June 2019 at the Indonesian Ambassador Residence. |
