Description

The memorial to 80,000 Indian soldiers in the British Army who died during World War I and later in the Middle East.

Designed by the distinguished British Architect Sir Edwin Lutyens - who was responsible also for the planning of much of modern New Delhi.

An 'eternal flame' burns under the arch, at the centre.
