Summary
[edit]DescriptionIndex typewriter.jpg | The Lambert typewriter, an early typewriter with a circular keyboard, seen in La Scala museum, Milan, on 2004-06-09. It was invented by French immigrant Frank Lambert in 1884 and manufactured by the Lambert Typewriter Co., New York, USA, beginning in 1902. Pushing a key on it's unique solid keyboard caused the whole keyboard to tilt, moving a keystamp under it to the correct position and driving the letter against the paper. The machine was a success and was also produced in the UK and France. For more information see Lambert, The Virtual Typewriter Museum | ||||||||
