English: In the shade of St Botolph's Church. In this northern, shady section of the churchyard the sun, blocked by the church, does not reach: after a wintry, windy night grass and gravestones are still encrusted with snow and ice. Only one cross-shaped headstone has managed to shed its icy coat and stands out in black among the surrounding white. See also > 675517 |
