English: Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment “Battle Boars”, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, drive M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles out of the Battle Boar’s area of operation here, June 27. The Battle Boars are transporting all of their heavy equipment to the rail head so they can ship it to the 1st Infantry Division out of Fort Riley, Kansas. This is a major step in the battalion’s reorganization from a mechanized infantry to a light infantry unit. The battalion’s reorganization is just one part of the inactivation of the 2nd ABCT as a whole. (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt. Richard Wrigley 2nd ABCT, 3rd ID, Public Affairs NCO) |
