Description
Italiano: In limine è una scultura, composta di marmo di Carrara, bronzo, tiglio ed edera, “portale” simbolicamente del nuovo ingresso della Galleria di Arte Moderna (GAM) di Torino. Con le parole stesse dell'autore, Giuseppe Penone: "Un blocco di marmo, materia che proviene dal sottosuolo, sostiene un albero, cresciuto a contatto della pietra, sradicato e fuso in bronzo. Le radici continuano nell’intreccio delle vene del marmo". L'opera è stata commissionata dalla Fondazione De Fornaris per le celebrazioni dei 150 anni dell'Unità d'Italia.
